Discover the Muskoka Wilderness
Led by Amish Morrell and Diane Borsato, with hiking group leaders from Five Winds.
This exciting foray and hike at McCrae Lake will provide an opportunity to gather, identify, and learn more about wild mushrooms that grow in the Georgian Bay and Muskoka region. The foray will be led by OCAD University professor Amish Morrell, and artist and professor Diane Borsato. Diane is author of Mushrooming: The Joy of the Quiet Hunt and both Amish and Diane are editors of the book, Outdoor School: Contemporary Environmental Art. Participants will also get a chance to hike on wilderness trails along the edge of beautiful McCrae Lake and Georgian Bay. This is an activity of the Five Winds, with additional participants from OCAD University, including faculty, staff, and students interested in mycology, sustainability and climate change, and environmental art.
